When Newt Gingrich formally endorsed Mitt Romney, the Obama campaign quickly launched a web video of the former speaker’s harsh words against the presumptive GOP nominee. 

And now that Rick Santorum has followed suit, endorsing Mr. Romney (albeit somewhat tepidly) this morning, the Democratic National Committee has taken a similar tact, this time splicing together footage of Mr. Romney explaining ow he is so conservative that he is even more conservative than Mr. Santorum, who was the darling of the far-right Tea Party set during the campaign.
