Council Speaker Christine Quinn‘s mayoral campaign attempted to pressure NY1 and other stations to take down an attack ad, but instead they simply gave the stations the opportunity to replay the commercial again and again. “The NYC is Not for Sale spot will continue to air as ordered unless we arrive at a decision to act otherwise,” Time Warner Cable’s lawyer wrote back to Ms. Quinn’s campaign. “We will contact you immediately once a decision is rendered.” Read More
