Club For Growth Hits Grimm, King

Local Republican lawmakers Peter King and Michael Grimm received some criticism from an unlikely corner this morning when the Club for Growth released a new scorecard that showed them to be among a group of Republicans who voted the least often to cut spending.

“The Club continues to be disappointed, in particular, by the big spenders in the Republican Party,” said Club for Growth president Chris Chocola. “With a $16 trillion debt, voting to keep discretionary spending inĀ appropriations bills is simply kicking hard choices into the future and passing the buck to future generations.
