Listen to An Angry Voicemail From A Ron Paul Supporter

This morning, the New York Observer switchboard received a voicemail for the Huffington Post from an angry, and apparently confused, Ron Paul fan. Presumably, he was responding to coverage of Mr. Paul winding down his presidential bid earlier this week. The unnamed Paulite wanted to let us know that, in his mind, Mr. Paul’s presidential bid is very much alive.

“Hi, if this is the Huffington Post, I’m calling to let you know that Ron Paul did not drop out of the race,” Johnathan said. “Ron Paul has more delegates than Mitt Romney now and you guys are a piece of shit.” Read More

Governor Cuomo Responds To President Obama’s State Of The Union Address

Governor Andrew Cuomo praised the “bold vision to strengthen the national economy, grow America’s middle class, and protect consumers” in President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address last night in a statement released shortly after the speech.

Fred Dicker Gives Governor Cuomo's Tax Plan a Backhanded Compliment

Influential New York Post columnist Fred Dicker isn’t exactly pleased with Governor Cuomo’s new tax plan, but he’s admittedly impressed with the political maneuvering that got the deal done. On his radio show this morning, Mr. Dicker aired his opinion of the state tax code overhaul. ”Some might suggest that the governor and Senator Dean Skelos involved themselves in a sneak attack on New York taxpayers with this deal that really kind of came out of the blue,” Mr. Dicker said.
