Andrew Cuomo on His Sicilian Similarities With Chris Christie

Governor Andrew Cuomo and Chris Christie, his Republican counterpart in New Jersey, are willing to admit they have at least one thing in common: strong, Sicilian mothers. Mr. Christie pointed out this fact earlier this week while denying reports he privately discussed agreeing with Mr. Cuomo on a wide variety of issues. Today, Mr. Cuomo responded during a budget-related press conference where he playfully hinted at the unusually “powerful” influence Sicilian mothers have on their children.

Mitt Romney Touts His Immigrant Roots in New Ad

Mitt Romney released a new Spanish-language ad today, “Country of Immigrants” featuring his son, Craig, discussing the family’s roots in Mexico.

“I’m Craig Romney. Mitt Romney Believes Children Are Better Off With Straight Parents

Mitt Romney made a speech via satellite at the Faith and Freedom Coalition Saturday morning in which he reiterated his view that children are better off growing up with hetereosexual parents.

The Politicker reached out to the Romney campaign to see whether they felt a child could equally benefit from the guidance provided by a gay couple. Ryan Williams, a spokesman for Mr. Romney, said it is the candidate’s long held belief children are better off with straight parents. Read More

Rick Santorum’s Brother-In-Law Blasts ‘The Bastard’ Newt Gingrich

Rick Santorum says he’s tried to run “a very positive campaign,” but his brother-in-law, Dick Rickerl, isn’t afraid to go negative.

Mr. Rickerl, who’s married to a sister of Mr. Santorum’s wife, Karen, has posted several long rants about Newt Gingrich on his Facebook page calling the current Republican frontrunner a “bastard,” a “dirt ball,” “a rat” and “scum,” among other things.

“Our country cannot withstand the arrogance and stupidity of this phony,” Mr. Rickerl wrote in one of his anti-Gingrich tirades. Read More
