Lena Dunham May Have Voted After All

Lena Dunham, the star and creator of HBO’s zeitgeisty comedy Girls, took to Twitter this afternoon to fight back against reports she did not vote in the presidential election last year despite filming a controversial ad urging others to cast a ballot for President Barack Obama. According to officials at the Board of Elections in Brooklyn, Ms. Dunham’s claim she voted by affidavit ballot may have merit. Read More

It’s Special Election Day In New York

In various parts of New York State stretching from Brooklyn to Buffalo, voters in vacant legislative districts will elect new representatives to Albany today.

The marquee race is the special election to replace former State Senator Carl Kruger. Mr. Kruger, Democrat who represented southeastern Brooklyn, resigned when he pleaded guilty to federal corruption charges last December.

Advertisements supporting and opposing Democratic Lew Fidler and Republican David Storobin have been flooding out in a last ditch effort to affect the vote. Read More
