An alert reader pointed us to the following item in (the essential) City and State First Read:
8:15 p.m. – Liu attends a holiday reception with President Barack Obama, Sheraton Hotel, 811 Seventh Ave., Manhattan.
The president, of course, is making a major NYC swing tonight, with not one but three separate stock-piling events, but it is a little remarkable that City Comptroller John Liu is touting his attendance.
Well this should be interesting.
Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh is making a rare live appearance in New York City with a show at Town Hall in the theater district this evening.
It is inauspicious timing for Mr. Limbaugh, considering it comes as Herman Cain is considering ending his presidential campaign amid allegation that he had a decade-long affair.
Mr. Limbaugh has been one of the chief defender of Mr. Cain on his radio show.
