Texas delegation split on revised House bailout bill 15-17

The House of Representatives passed an altered version of the economic bailout plan Friday by a vote of 263-171. A narrow majority of the Texas Congressional delegation, however, opposed the measure 15-17. On Monday, 23 Texas representatives opposed the initial bailout legislation.

All six representatives who switched their votes went from opposing to supporting the bailout. They include two Republicans, Mike Conaway and Mac Thornberry, and four Democrats, Henry Cuellar, Al Green, Sheila Jackson-Lee, and Solomon Ortiz.
