Clemons calls state senate races ‘tight’

NASHUA--State Rep. Jane Clemons (D-Nashua) said that she expects both state senate races in Nashua to be "tight" on Election Day.

In state senate District 13, state Rep. Betty Lasky (D-Nashua) is running against Nashua school board member Sandra Ziehm (R-Nashua), while voters in state senate District 12 are witnessing a three-way race between Paul LaFlamme (R-Nashua), Peggy Gilmour (D-Hollis) and state Rep. Betty Hall (I-Hollis).

LaFlamme thinks Hall will pull votes from all candidates

NASHUA-State Senate candidate Paul LaFlamme (R-Nashua) thinks the possibility that state Rep. Betty Hall (I-Brookline) will appear on the November ballot as a competitor will make the race "close."

Hall is staging an independent bid to appear on the ballot in the district 12 state Senate race between LaFlamme and Peggy Gilmour (D-Hollis).

Hall submits 1200 signatures

Independent state Senate candidate Betty Hall has submitted the necessary number of signatures to be verified by local election officials.

Hall, of Brookline, is attempting to run for the state Senate in the 12th district, which includes parts of Nashua, Hollis, Mason and Brookline. To gain access to the November ballot she needed to submit 700 signatures for verification and now must wait for the town clerks to approve the signatures.

Hall busy collecting signatures

State Rep. Betty Hall needs another 230 signatures to gain access to the New Hampshire ballot.

Hall, of Hollis, is running as an independent for the state senate in District 12 and has until August 6th to hand-in 750 signatures.

Betty Hall giving serious consideration to senate or congressional run

Inside Edge has confirmed Democratic state Representative Betty Hall of Brookline is giving serious thought to running for either state Senate or Congress on nomination papers.

If Hall were to run for senate on nomination papers, she would need 750 signatures to appear on the November ballot.

Democrats approve impeachment resolution

MANCHESTER -- At their annual state convention Democrats approved a resolution asking Congress to begin impeachment procedures against President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

The resolution, offered by the Newbury Democratic Committee, had very little debate at the state party convention, but several activists worked the crowd throughout the day and said they expected some controversy.
