Shea-Porter comments on GOP primary

DENVER-U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) says a Republican primary in her district demonstrates disunity among the Republican Party.

"I think what it does highlight is disarray in the party and the tone it sets," Shea-Porter told PolitickerNH.com."I've always called for civility among candidates and so I'm not going to get involved in that."

Boehner endorses Bradley, brushes aside Stephen

BEDFORD -- The leader of the U.S. House Republicans has waded into a competitive GOP primary in the 1st Congressional District and endorsed a former colleague.

U.S. Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) has endorsed former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro), who is running in a primary against former Health and Human Services Commissioner John Stephen (R-Manchester). Although Boehner endorsed his rival, Stephen said he looks forward to Boehner's endorsement in the fall.

Meredith is a must win in GOP SD-2 primary

The town of Meredith will be the key to victory for either of the two Republicans fighting to unseat state Sen. Deb Reynolds (D-Plymouth), according to well-known Republican consultant.

State reps. William Tobin (R-Sanbornton) and Vernon Dingman (R-Haverhill) are competing against one another in state Senate District 2.

For Janeway challengers, a fiscal focus in a media blackhole

Concord business owner Andy Sanborn (R-Loudon) and former state rep. Larry Elliott (R-Antrim), who are both running for the opportunity to challenge freshman state Sen. Harold Janeway (D-Webster), agree on the message, but the question for their primary is who can get that message out.

Both Republican Seante District 7 candidates said they are running on a message of lower government spending.

Three-way GOP primary for 3rd state Senate district seat

State Sen. Joe Kenney's (R-Wakefield) decision to run for governor has set-off a three-way Republican primary to capture the 3rd state Senate district seat.

The primary features three former state representatives who hope to move up to the upper chamber: Sam Cataldo (R-Farmington), David Babson (R-Ossipee) and William Denley (R-Wakefield). The Republican nominee will face Judge Bud Martin (D-Center Sandwich).

Erik Taylor, former chairman of the Carroll County Republicans and a consultant with Elevare Communications, said the key to the primary are the "boros."
