Fuller Clark: Time to spread the message

DENVER-- State Sen. Martha Fuller Clark (D-Portsmouth) is hoping to bring her convention experience back to the Granite State.

Fuller Clark, a state co-chair for U.S. Sen. Barack Obama during the New Hampshire primary, said she is prepared to spread Obama's message to voters in her district.

The Senate's newest candidate, Callahan, in race for the race's sake

The Republican who emerged yesterday to challenge state Sen. Martha Fuller Clark in the heavily Democratic 24th Senate District says he is running to give voters a choice.

"It would be unfair to the voters and unfair to taxpayers and unlike New Hampshire to have a candidate go uncontested," said Chris Callahan, 38, who is in the Seafood import and export business.

Fuller Clark: DNC meeting was 'hard work'

WASHINGTON -- State Sen. Martha Fuller Clark (D-Portsmouth), who represents New Hampshire on the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee, said she was pleased with the results of their national televised meeting on Saturday, but that the committee's work was far from easy.

"I think that it was very difficult," said Clark in an interview.  "I think that in the end we did what we had to do and there was no perfect solution."

Fuller Clark in political spotlight this weekend

This weekend state Sen. Martha Fuller Clark (D-Portsmouth) will be one of 30 people who could determine Sen. Hillary Clinton's (D-NY) fate.

Fuller Clark is a member of the Democratic National Committee Rules Committee that will meet this weekend to determine if the delegates from Florida and Michigan should be seated at the national convention.  The two states were stripped of their delegates because they voted before the date purposed by the DNC.

The filings cover the month of April and provide a snapshot into the financial health of the state parties.

NH Dems pick presidential electors

This past weekend New Hampshire Democrats selected their electors to the Electoral College.

Presidential electors meet after Election Day to officially elect the president. New Hampshire has four electors in the Electoral College, one for each U.S. Senator and one for each U.S. Representative.

The names were put forward by Party Chairman Ray Buckley and the state convention approved the names.

NH Dems hold unity event

Democratic leaders at "Unity 08" press conferenceCONCORD- Despite the ongoing primary battle between Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, supporters from various Democratic presidential campaigns gathered today to launch “Unity 08,” a push to put a Democrat back in the White House.

The effort is aimed at highlighting John McCain's record.

Former Party Chairwoman Kathy Sullivan, State Rep. Terri Norelli and State Sen. Sylvia Larsen represented the Clinton campaign. Ned Helms and State Sen. Martha Fuller Clark represented the Obama camp and State Sen. Peter Burling represented the Edwards campaign. State Party Chairman Ray Buckley was also present.
