Andy Smith, director of the UNH Survey Center, is predicting that the Democratic federal candidates will win in New Hampshire.
 
"Barack Obama looks to win New Hampshire by a comfortable margin on Tuesday. In the race for U.S. Senate, Shaheen should win a narrow victory over incumbent John Sununu," Smith writes in his latest poll. "In Congressional races, incumbent Paul Hodes is predicted to win New Hampshire's 2nd District and incumbent Carol Shea-Porter looks to pull out a narrow victory in the 1st District."

Below are the latest results from UNH/WMUR tracking poll, which shows narrowing races in the U.S. Senate race and the 1st Congressional District race.

A new poll has the major Democratic candidates leading their Republican opponents in New Hampshire.

A Boston Globe poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire's Survey Center, has former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen (D-Madbury) beating U.S. Sen. John Sununu (R-Waterville Valley) 49 percent to 36 percent. In the 1st Congressional District U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) is leading former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro) 44 percent to 39 percent while in the 2nd Congressional District U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) is leading Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua) 51 percent to 25 percent.

Congressional candidate Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua) issued a press release that said her opponent has done nothing to deal with the current economic situation.

Horn said that U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) has accepted $141,000 in campaign donations from financial service companies, which resulted in Hodes "looking the other way." The Hodes campaign responded that Hodes has fought for "tighter regulation and oversight."

Last night U. S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) and Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua) participated in a forum sponsored by the Concord Business and Professional Women organization.

"Hodes described how his greatest successes have involved helping constituents back home. Horn talked about her family, accused Hodes of failing to change Washington enough and called for a smaller, more frugal government free of ‘roadblocks,'" The Concord Monitor reports.

A Saint Anselm College poll shows U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) and U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) beating their Republican opponents.

This is the first poll that has shown Shea-Porter ahead of former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro).

Shea-Porter is ahead of Bradley 42 percent to 35 percent in the 1st Congressional District. While, Hodes is beating Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua) 35 percent to 18 percent in the 2nd Congressional District. However, the poll finds that 45 percent of voters are undecided in the Hodes-Horn race and 21 percent are undecided in the Shea-Porter-Bradley race.

New Hampshire's two United States Representatives are still undecided over whether or not they will support a revised bailout bill that is expected to be voted on later today.

U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) and U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) both voted against the original bill on Monday.

A University of New Hampshire poll puts former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro) and U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) ahead in their respective races.

In the 1st Congressional District Bradley is beating incumbent U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) 45 percent to 42 percent with 12 percent undecided. In the 2nd Congressional District Hodes is leading Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua) 38 percent to 26 percent with 33 undecided.

Identifying grassroots activists is how Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua) was able to win the Republican nomination in the 2nd Congressional District, her campaign manager said.

David Chesley, her manager for the past few months, said that the campaign focused on identifying their voters and making sure they showed up to the polls last Tuesday.

U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) underwent surgery to remove a kidney stone, his office announced in a statement.

"On Monday evening, Congressman Paul Hodes was admitted to the Emergency Room at Concord Regional Hospital for a kidney stone. Tuesday afternoon he underwent a routine surgical procedure with Dr. Thomas Schwaab to remove the kidney stone, and his surgical recovery prevented him from traveling to Washington," the statement read.
