Cullen: N.H. voters were indifferent to Biden during primaries

New Hampshire Republican Chairman Fergus Cullen said Granite State voters should question why Barack Obama's campaign has not released a list of earmarks requested by Joe Biden.

"To be charitable, New Hampshire voters responded to Joe Biden with indifference both times he ran for president here; Biden dropped out before the New Hampshire primary in both 1988 and 2008 due to lack of support," Cullen said in a statement. "But this time New Hampshire voters are interested in learning more about Joe Biden, specifically about why the Obama campaign won't release Biden's earmark requests and why Biden believes that it is ‘patriotic' to pay more in taxes."

Cullen says Biden 'undercuts' Obama's message

New Hampshire Republican Chairman Fergus Cullen says that by U.S. Sen. Joe Biden's (D-Del.) vice-presidential candidacy undermines U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's (D-Ill.) message of change.

"The choice of Senator Biden undercuts the notion that Obama is a change agent," Cullen said in a press conference. "Joe Biden has been in the senate for 35 years. He was elected to the senate at age 29; he has literally grown up and spent his entire adult life in the United States Senate."

N.H. GOP chairman pens letter to Shaheen

New Hampshire Republican Chairman Fergus Cullen has written an open letter to former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen (D-Madbury) telling Shaheen that she should "stand up" to the Democratic leadership in the U.S. Senate and help promote various energy bills.

"Instead of working to increase domestic energy production and reduce our dependence on foreign sources of oil -- as Senator John Sununu advocates -- you and your liberal Washington allies remain opposed to passing into law the intelligent, common sense reforms needed to cut energy costs for Granite Staters."
