DENVER-- State Rep. Bette Lasky has begun to put together the foundations for her fall campaign.

The Nashua Democrat is running for the state senate in district 13 against Sandra Ziehm (R-Nashua).

AMHERST- State Sen. Bob Clegg (R-Hudson) says his congressional campaign is gaining momentum.

"I feel good, I feel that we've made great strides in a lot of different places, especially in the northern part of the district," Clegg told PolitickerNH.com.

NASHUA-State Senate candidate Paul LaFlamme (R-Nashua) thinks the possibility that state Rep. Betty Hall (I-Brookline) will appear on the November ballot as a competitor will make the race "close."

Hall is staging an independent bid to appear on the ballot in the district 12 state Senate race between LaFlamme and Peggy Gilmour (D-Hollis).

LACONIA-- State Sen. Kathleen Sgambati (D-Tilton) was elected in 2006 with strong support from towns such as Tilton and Strafford and she hopes to repeat that strategy in her bid for re-election.

"I think I have to do well in all of them [towns]," Sgambati told PolitickerNH.com in an interview. "I won every town last time except for Alton and we're going to try and keep the numbers close and keep working to get the message out."

Daphne Kenyon (D-Windham) has officially announced that she will run for the state senate.

Kenyon will be running in Senate District 19 against current state Sen. Robert Letourneau (R-Derry).

Former state Sen. Russell Prescott (R-Kingston) has officially launched his campaign for Executive Council.

Prescott began his campaign with a fundraiser at Seabrook's Brown's Lobster Pound.

State Sen. Robert Letourneau (R-Derry) has hired Riverbank Communications to lead his campaign fundraising efforts.

"I am very pleased to be able to bring back Riverbank Communications to help with my fundraising," Letourneau said in a statement. "Riverbank Communications has a long record of delivering stellar results for their fundraising clients and I am confident they will be a great asset to my campaign."
