Campaign for Change, Obama campaign hires more staffers

The Obama campaign and Campaign for Change has announced they are beefing-up their campaign operations in the Granite State.

Mitchell Kent will be Obama's deputy state director and policy director and Brian Wallach has been hired to be the political director. Kent ran Obama's get-out-the-vote efforts in Indiana, Minnesota and Ohio. During the New Hampshire primary, Wallach was Obama's deputy political director.

Obama beefs-up N.H. communications staff

U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's (D-Ill.) presidential campaign has announced additions to their New Hampshire communications team.

Sandra Abrevaya will be the New Hampshire communications director for the Obama campaign, while Larkin Barker has been hired to be press secretary for the "Campaign for Change" outreach effort. According to a campaign press release, Campaign for Change will "harness the enthusiasm of Obama's grassroots-level supporters and organize them in communities across New Hampshire as they work for Democratic candidates up and down the ticket."

Lynch hires campaign spokesman

Gov. John Lynch's (D-Hopkington) reelection campaign has hired Evan Carlson to be campaign spokesman.

Carlson served as U.S. Sen. Joe Biden's New Hampshire press secretary during Biden's primary campaign and is also spokesman for the New Hampshire Young Democrats.

Clegg hires GOP activist

Seacoast Republican activist Matt Mayberry has been hired to help with grassroots organizing for Bob Clegg's congressional campaign.

During the New Hampshire primary, Mayberry served as Strafford County chairman of U.S. Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) presidential campaign. Mayberry is also running for the state House from Dover.

RNC announces NH victory director

The Republican National Committee has officially announced that Brandon Vidrine will become the New Hampshire Victory '08 director.

Vidrine will be charged with coordinating election efforts between the state party and the campaigns. The post became vacant when Jamie Burnett left to become the U.S. Sen. John Sununu's deputy campaign manager.

Horn campaign manager resigns

Jennifer Horn's campaign manager has resigned, PolitickerNH.com has learned.

Zack Condry has been Horn's campaign manager since February. His resignation comes a week before the second-quarter fundraising period concludes.

Jeff Grappone has been named the New England communications director for John McCain's presidential campaign.

"Senator McCain will be mounting a strong campaign and I look forward to being a part of it," he told PolitickerNH.com.

McCain appoints Maagero state director

Ashley Maagero has been tapped to be John McCain's New Hampshire state director.

During the primary Maagero was a regional field coordinator for Merrimack and Strafford counties.

Maagero previously worked in Massachusetts politics and her hire was first reported by the site "Red Mass Group."

Stephen hires Auger

John Stephen's congressional campaign has hired Dan Auger to be their northern area Field Director.

Auger will be in charge of Belknap, Carroll and parts of Strafford County.
