Two prominent New Hampshire supporters of Mitt Romney think he would be a strong pick for vice-president.

Reports have focused on the potential news that U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) could add his former primary rival to the national ticket.

Romney to campaign in New Hampshire for the Fourth

Former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-Boston) plans to spend part of his July 4 holiday in New Hampshire campaigning for Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), PolitickerNH.com reports.

Romney and his 'MittMobile' decked out in "McCain for President" signs will make an appearance in the Wolfeboro Fourth of July parade.

"He and his family traditionally spend the holiday in Wolfeboro and attend the parade regularly," Jim Merrill, Romney's former New Hampshire state director, said in an e-mail to PolitickerNH.com.

Romney to campaign for McCain at N.H. July 4 parade

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will campaign for U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) later this week in New Hampshire.

Romney will march in the Wolfeboro Fourth of July parade, PolitickerNH.com has learned.

Merrill named Devine Strategies Managing Director

Jim Merrill has been named the Managing Director of Devine Strategies LLC.

Merrill is the former New Hampshire campaign manager for Mitt Romney's campaign and was state field director for Bush/Cheney in 2004.

Romney to meet with NH supporters

Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney (R-Mass.) will meet with his New Hampshire supporters before the New Hampshire Political Library fundraiser on April 30th.

Romney's New Hampshire state director Jim Merrill will be hosting a reception for key supporters and campaign staff at the Devine Millimet law office.
