Beatty up with second tv ad

Republican U.S. Senate challenger Jeff Beatty is up with his second television ad.

The ad features Beatty speaking directly to the camera. Beatty says "it's time to replace John Kerry with one of us" and highlights biography - from his being shot down in a helicopter on a rescue mission in Grenada to his work as a counterterrorism consultant.

"I've been a teamster," the Harwich Republican says. "Later in Delta Force, I helped rescue over 800 Americans and was wounded in the first Black Hawk down. In business, I've helped keep your kids safe at school."

The Beatty campaign, which reported having only $58,448 in their campaign war chest, declined to comment on who produced the ad, how large the ad buy is, and where it is running.

Check out the ad below.

Schmidt camp says Wulsin camp is 'imploding'

The campaign of U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland) responded to an ad being run by opponent Dr. Victoria Wulsin (D-Indian Hill) by saying that the Wulsin campaign is "imploding."

Schmidt spokesperson Bruce Pfaff responed to an attack ad from the Wulsin campaign hitting Schmidt for comments made during a debate on the economic crisis.

"Another day another Wulsin lie, she just can't seem to tell the truth," Pfaff said. "She even lies about telling the truth. Ms. Wulsin's campaign is imploding, she can't seem to run ads on network T.V. and her nonsensical ramblings at the first debate did more to ensure Congresswoman Schmidt's re-election than anything we could have done. It's a good thing she has her job in Kenya to fall back on after November."
