A pediatrician named Dr. Victor Zuckerman held a press conference today to support his ex-girlfriend, Sharon Bialek’s, claim she was groped by Herman Cain. Ms. Bialek had a press conference of her own last week to tell the world her story of being hit on by Mr. Cain after she asked him for career advice in 1997. Dr. Zuckerman was dating Ms. Bialek at the time of her alleged run in with Mr. Cain.
Herman Cain is ready to move on from the multiple allegations of sexual harassment made against him, but the scandal just isn’t going away. Attorney Gloria Allred is holding another press conference today with one of Mr. Cain’s accusers, Sharon Bialek. They plan to unveil a former boyfriend of Ms. Bialek’s who they claim will back up her tale of being inappropriately groped by Mr. Cain.
Meanwhile, Mr. Cain’s wife Gloria, who hadn’t previously taken a public role on his campaign, gave an interview to Fox News in support of her husband. “”I’m thinking he would have to have a split personality to do the things that were said,” Mrs. Cain said. “He totally respects women.”
Herman Cain was at the center of a media maelstrom before the first accusations of sexual harassment surfaced against him late last month. America’s fourth estate and its audience has been uniquely fascinated with the Republican Presidential candidate for months now. With his ongoing sex scandal, the media circus focused on Mr. Cain reached a new apex and manifested itself in physical form at a press conference hosted by well-known sexual harassment attorney Gloria Allred and the first of Mr. Cain’s accusers to go public, Sharon Bialek.
As a fifth woman emerged this morning accusing Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain of sexual harassment, the Cain Campaign is going into serious damage control mode over Woman #4–Sharon Bialek, who held forth at a crowded press conference at the Friars Club yesterday afternoon.
And by “damage control” we mean “question the motives of.”
“The fact is that Ms. Bialek has had a long and troubled history, from the courts to personal finances,” the Cain Campaign writes. “Which may help explain why she has come forward 14 years after an alleged incident with Mr. Cain, powered by celebrity attorney and long term Democrat donor Gloria Allred.”
Republican Presidential candidate Herman Cain addressed the sexual harassment charges made against him by Sharon Bialek during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last night. Ms. Bialek accused Mr. Cain of groping her fourteen years ago during a surprise press conference with famed attorney Gloria Allred on Monday.
Mr. Cain told Jimmy Kimmel he had “steam coming out of my ears” as he watched Ms. Bialek make her claims. “There’s not a ounce of truth in all of these accusations,” the candidate said. Mr. Cain also described his wife’s reaction to the scandal.
