A pediatrician named Dr. Victor Zuckerman held a press conference today to support his ex-girlfriend, Sharon Bialek’s, claim she was groped by Herman Cain. Ms. Bialek had a press conference of her own last week to tell the world her story of being hit on by Mr. Cain after she asked him for career advice in 1997. Dr. Zuckerman was dating Ms. Bialek at the time of her alleged run in with Mr. Cain.
Herman Cain is ready to move on from the multiple allegations of sexual harassment made against him, but the scandal just isn’t going away. Attorney Gloria Allred is holding another press conference today with one of Mr. Cain’s accusers, Sharon Bialek. They plan to unveil a former boyfriend of Ms. Bialek’s who they claim will back up her tale of being inappropriately groped by Mr. Cain.
Meanwhile, Mr. Cain’s wife Gloria, who hadn’t previously taken a public role on his campaign, gave an interview to Fox News in support of her husband. “”I’m thinking he would have to have a split personality to do the things that were said,” Mrs. Cain said. “He totally respects women.”
Republican Presidential candidate Herman Cain addressed the sexual harassment charges made against him by Sharon Bialek during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last night. Ms. Bialek accused Mr. Cain of groping her fourteen years ago during a surprise press conference with famed attorney Gloria Allred on Monday.
Mr. Cain told Jimmy Kimmel he had “steam coming out of my ears” as he watched Ms. Bialek make her claims. “There’s not a ounce of truth in all of these accusations,” the candidate said. Mr. Cain also described his wife’s reaction to the scandal.
This afternoon Midtown Manhattan was treated to the spectacle of a Gloria Allred press conference featuring a woman who accused Republican presidential front-runner Herman Cain of grabbing her genitals and telling her that she need to have sex with him if she hoped to secure a job with the National Restaurant Association, which he led.
The Cain campaign just responded with a statement, slamming Ms. Allred as a “celebrity activist lawyer” and saying that allegation of harassment are “completely false.”
And, not surprisingly, now that Mr. Cain’s campaign has the nation’s ear, they put a plug in for his “9-9-9″ flat tax plan:
Herman Cain’s sexual harassment scandal got worse today as a fourth woman came forward to accuse the Republican Presidential candidate of making inappropriate advances toward her while he was head of the National Restaurant Association in the late 1990′s. The woman, Sharon Bialek, appeared at a press conference accompanied by attorney Gloria Allred at the Friar’s Club in Manhattan.
