Should the political conventions be combined?

Clay Jones thinks do.

The editorial cartoonist for the Free Lance-Star opined on his blog about four days of speeches from people who all have the same opinion, and has a suggestion how to make it more exciting:

They should combine the conventions.  Alternate speakers with each party then we'd have more than just cheering.  We'd have booing, hissing, cursing and delegates throwing things at each other.  It'd be great.

And while your at it, if you ever wondered when you'd see Joe Biden in a pantsuit, Clay has fulfilled your curiosity.
