Pro casino folks come out swinging

I have to assume that the Yes on Two folks have polled this strategy with the voters and decided that attacking the anti-casino organization directly is one that will work.   It will be interesting to see how far they take it.  Do they name names in future ads?  Will the ads generate a little class warfare-by featuring the donors to Casinos NO?

Pro casino ads are running, and they are coming out swinging!

The ads contain themes that you expect to see; jobs, opportunity and the dollars draining out of the state to the Connecticut casinos.  There is one theme I did not expect to see, and that is the attack on the Casinos NO! organization - directly.

In the ad the announcer states, "They spent 100 millions dollars there (referring to Connecticut) in three years, because Casinos NO has prevented them from spending it in Maine." At the end of the ad viewers are told, "don't let the no people drive this opportunity away -again."

The good news for the Casinos NO folks is that they have plenty to work with when it comes to attacking the actual legislation. The bad news is that they have very little money, limited time and will be competing for resources and man-power in an already crowded field.
