Pittsburgh cartoonist sketching his way through Denver

Hello Denver: Rob Rogers sketching in Denver during the 2008 Democratic National ConventionHello Denver: Rob Rogers sketching in Denver during the 2008 Democratic National ConventionRob Rogers, the editorial cartoonist for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and former president of the American Association of Editorial Cartoonists, is one of several cartoonists across the country blogging from the Democratic National Convention being held this week in Denver.

Blogging is fairly new for Rogers, who got his first taste of it covering the Super Bowl XL in Detroit. But he's excited about covering this year's conventions, even as critics claim they are meaningless dog and pony shows.

"Well, it just so happens I love sketching dogs and ponies," responds Rogers.

Check out his convention blog here.
