In another instance of tensions between Conley and his party, South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler called Conley "naive and inexperienced," according to the Associated Press.
"I'm not sure where his votes are coming from," she added.

In a move that is unlikely to help his falling poll numbers, Conley criticized House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn as an example of a member of the Democratic party that is "too liberal," according to The State.
Bewildered by the move, state party chairman Carol Fowler said he wasn't sure "where his votes are going to come from" if he continues to attack his own party.

If Lindsey Graham had any concerns about his own re-election this year, he probably wouldn't have given $260,000 to the National Republican Senatorial Committee like he did in recent months.
Bob Conley, the Democrat, has suffered from stories this week showing he was a Republican up until a few months ago. He ran as a Republican for the Indiana Legislature in 2000 and voted for Ron Paul this past January in the state's presidential primary.
