About the Race

Had former Gov. Mike Huckabee entered this race it would be one of the most fascinating this year. But he didn't and this seat is the greatest recruitment failure of the National Republican Senate Committee this year. Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor should have an easy time winning re-election.to a second term.

Race Updates

November 12, 2008 - 3:15 pm — Safe Democratic — #35
Pryor was unopposed and won re-election with 79 percent of the vote.

July 17, 2008 - 2:58 pm
Mark Pryor ended June with $3.6 million in the bank and considering he doesn't face a major party challenger it is unlikely he'll have to spend much of it to win re-election.
