Barack Obama's campaign is not planning to compete for either of New Hampshire's open at-large seats, Obama's senior state advisor says.
"The Obama campaign has no intention of putting up candidates for either of the Democratic National Committee positions," Demers said in an e-mail. "This is a time for New Hampshire Democrats to begin unifying for the November election and the contest for the National Committee positions is for the members of the New Hampshire Democratic State Committee to decide without any outside involvement."
On Saturday, the Democratic State Committee will decide who will fill New Hampshire's two at-large DNC seats.
Currently, Kathy Sullivan, a Hillary Clinton supporter, is running uncontested to fill the seat left by Annita Freedman's retirement.
Gaetan DiGangi, also a Clinton supporter, is being challenged by State Sen. Peter Burling.
Burling supported John Edwards in the primary and has said he does not plan on endorsing either Clinton or Obama.
The new DNC at-large delegates will not take effect until after the national convention.
