Lawlor and McCann to stay on Kratovil team

Incoming U.S. Rep. Frank Kratovil (D-Stevensville) has brought on his former campaign manager Tim McCann as chief of staff. His campaign's press secretary, Kevin Lawlor, will remain on board as well.

As chief of staff, McCann will make sure operations run smoothly, Lawlor said. He'll also be in charge of constituent services and will oversee the Washington D.C. and 1st Congressional District offices.

Lawlor served as communications director to U.S. Rep. Ellen Tauscher (D-Calif) before the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee sent him to the Kratovil campaign in September. Lawlor kept his reasons for staying vague, but described the move as a professional choice.

Kratovil, the Queen Anne's County state's Attorney, defeated state Sen. Andy Harris (R-Cockeysville) for the 1st District seat by several thousand votes.
