In an ad watch analysis of a Mitch McConnell ad suggesting that Bruce Lunsford lives in Chicago, Courier-Journal reporter Joe Gerth writes: "It is unfair to say that legal documents show Lunsford lives in Chicago and that Lunsford wasn't "truthful" about where he lives, based on the documents provided by the McConnell campaign."
The editorial board was more direct, calling the ad "so absurd that it deserves special comment."
"The McConnell strategy is, "Say anything you like. By the time the truth catches up with you, who cares?" [...]
"Here is a truth nobody can challenge: Mr. McConnell's real home is Washington, although he does visit Kentucky to deliver earmarked money, at taxpayer expense."
