Bishop Orlando Findlayter will hold a press conference tomorrow morning to address the controversy surrounding his arrest and Mayor Bill de Blasio’s subsequent call to police.
Mr. Findlayter told Politicker he will address the press Saturday morning at the Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network headquarters in Harlem at 9 a.m.
The announcement comes as Mr. de Blasio faces growing criticism over his handling of Mr. Findlayter’s arrest, which the mayor insisted yesterday was perfect “appropriate.”
The bishop was an early de Blasio supporter and served on his inauguration committee.
