Backers Talk Up Bill de Blasio’s Bronx Cred

During a rare visit to the Bronx today, some of Bill de Blasio’s most prominent backers pushed back on charges that the mayoral front-runner has spent too little time in the borough while campaigning for mayor.

During last night’s final debate, Mr. de Blasio was forced to respond to criticism that he’d spent too much time in Manhattan and Park Slope and not enough time in places like the Bronx and the Rockaways since securing the Democratic nomination.

De Blasio Denounces Stop-and-Frisk Decision by Second Circuit

In a surprise ruling earlier this evening, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit temporarily blocked an earlier federal ruling that would have curtailed the NYPD’s controversial stop-and-frisk policy.

‘He’s Already Dressed as the Mayor!’: Bill de Blasio Goes Trick-or-Treating in the Bronx

Mayoral front-runner Bill de Blasio made a rare appearance in the Bronx today, greeting excited voters, handing out candy to trick-or-treating kids and talking up his campaign’s get-out-the-vote efforts in the election’s final stretch.

Catsimatidis Says He’d Be Doing Much Better Against de Blasio Right Now

John Catsimatidis is not impressed with his ex-rival’s campaign for mayor.

The supermarket and oil magnate, who lost the Republican primary to Joe Lhota earlier this year, briefly discussed his former challenger this morning, telling Politcker he would have run a  far stronger campaign against Democrat Bill de Blasio, who is dominating Mr. Lhota in the polls.
