State Senator Marty Golden, who held a media event a month ago after a sandwich was named after him, followed up on the topic again this morning, releasing a photo of him eating said sandwich. “Senator Golden thanks Lioni’s Heroes for recognizing his record of service and hopes that the sandwich will be a top seller,” Mr. Golden's spokesman said in a statement.

Councilman Domenic Recchia's 2013 campaign spokesman didn't take kindly to Councilman Dan Garodnick's endorsement of Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer's comptroller bid today. “Democracy may one day reign again in New York City when, behind the scenes, Tammany-style bullies masquerading as reformers—whose main goals are self-promotion, threatening others who desire office and controlling the public’s choices—are exposed," the spokesman, Hank Sheinkopf, said.

While Rep. Pete King didn't take too kindly to Grover Norquist's joke that his wife needs to watch out for their marital pledge if the congressman ignores an anti-tax pledge.  “The fact that he brought my wife into it – I don’t think he’s ever met me, certainly he’s never met my wife,” Mr. King explained. “And he better hope he doesn’t. She’ll knock his head off.”
