Appearing on CNBC’s “Kudlow Report” he said that Vice President Joe Biden lacks the brain power to be president of the United States should he have to serve in that capacity.
The vice president of the United States has become a laugh line on late night television. I mean, he–I’ve never seen a vice president that has made as many mistakes, said as many stupid things. I mean, there’s a real fear if, God forbid, he ever had to be entrusted with the presidency, whether he really has the mental capacity to handle it. I mean, this guy just isn’t bright. He’s never been bright. He isn’t bright. And people think, ‘Well, he just talks a little too much.’ Actually, he’s just not very smart.
The comments by Hizzoner were in reference to remarks Mr. Biden made earlier in the day when he told a North Carolina rally that if Mitt Romney were elected president he would put people “back in chains” by letting banks govern themselves.
Mr. Giuliani went on to slam the Obama campaign for engaging in what he called a smear campaign and went on to use the same metaphor to describe what four more years under President Obama would look like:
“If anybody’s going to put anybody in chains, the way the government is going to take over your life and tell you exactly how much health insurance you have to have, and tell you exactly what you can do and can’t do, it’s really more on the other side, if you want to use it as a metaphor,” he said.
To Mr. Giuliani’s credit however, he at least appears to be on-message again.
