Capital Tonight gets ahold of Governor Andrew Cuomo's spokesman, Josh Vlasto, who directly stated the current redistricting lines would be vetoed:

“At first glance, these lines are simply unacceptable and would be vetoed by the Governor," Mr. Vlasto said. "We need a better process and product.”

The current map is only the Legislature's first draft. Boundaries are subject to change before they are presented to the Governor for his signature.

If Governor Cuomo vetoes the lines, the legislature will have to present an alternative map, or the courts will eventually intervene. After all, candidates running in the primaries later this year will need districts to run in.
