Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann is in midtown Manhattan this morning hosting a "private reception" for her presidential campaign. Congresswoman Bachmann is meeting with her supporters at the Radisson Martinique on 32nd Street and Broadway. 

New York has been a hotbed of Republican primary activity this week. Jon Huntsman was in town yesterday for a fundraiser at actor Ben Stein's house on Park Avenue. Newt Gingrich was also here yesterday to meet with Donald Trump and attend the influential monthly Monday Meeting.

Congresswoman Bachmann has focused her efforts on the early primary in Iowa. According to a new poll by the Des Moines Register, her poll numbers there have dropped to the single digits placing her behind Mr. Gingrich, Ron Paul and Mitt Romney.

Update: The New York Daily News article originally referenced here incorrectly reported Mr. Huntsman's fundraiser was hosted by the actor Ben Stein. In fact, Mr. Huntsman's fundraiser was actually hosted by another man named Ben Stein who is a young heir of the Rothschild family. (12/6 12:50 p.m.)
