The new Resorts World casino—as operated by robots in compliance with New York State law, after a very long ordeal to bring more gambling revenue to Aqueduct—had its grand opening this afternoon. Look who it brought in: Democratic assemblyman David Weprin is testing his hand at the games of fortune!

- As they say in Vegas: This town wasn’t built on winners.
- Hitting the jackpot: Wouldn’t be the first time he made history in Queens.
- At least he’s only gambling with his money.
- Many insiders are seeing his loss as yet another referendum by machines against those pulling on them.
And so on.

I went to the Racino tonight I had to wait on line for 45 minutes to get in.
The place was packed and the vast majority of customers were minority.
I lost ten bucks playing Jacks or better two dollars bets.
The food courts were packed and the lines to cash in your winnings were long.
The non human betting is no fun the “Feel” of the game is not there.
I did not try it I just watch, without the human touch it is just blah
The Big screen, and the bar are OK.
They needed more staff for opening day and I bet this whole weekend it will be backed.
When I left at 1130pm there was still a line of people but smaller.
I did not really enjoy it just to crowed but then again it was opening day.
So I guess they made money and so did the state.
Planing to go back next Friday with friends.
This was a solo trip to say I was there on opening day.
Before there was the “Oracle at Delphi” there was Count Vampire J. Machiavelli
