Texas Governor Rick Perry released a new ad today in which he attempts to spin his disastrous debate performances as a qualification. 

Governor Perry was ahead of many polls until his poorly reviewed showings in the Republican debates. Now, Governor Perry is threatening to skip future debates and trailing Mitt Romney and Herman Cain in most national polls. In the new ad, Governor Perry attempts to put a positive light on his debate woes casting himself as “a doer not a talker.”

“If you’re looking for a slick politician or a guy with great teleprompter skills, we already have that–and he’s destroying our economy,” Governor Perry said in a dig at President Obama.
