Cuomo Launches Online Jobs Bank

With the state’s unemployment rate stuck at eight percent, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced the launch of  a new website designed to help New Yorkers who are seeking employment.

The site–called Jobs Express– takes thousands of jobs listed on the New York State Jobs Bank and sorts them by region and industry.

“The Jobs Express website makes it easier for New Yorkers to learn about what jobs are available and to know where to find them,” Governor Cuomo said. “Not only does this website put unemployed New Yorkers in touch with employers, but job seekers can also get the latest on topics such as resume writing and interview techniques. Republican Presidential candidate Herman Cain’s spokesman J.D. Gordon is firing back against allegations Mr. Cain was accused of inappropriate conduct by two women during his time as head of the National Restaurant Association in the late 1990’s. Mr. Gordon told the Observer the story, which was first reported by Politico, was a “personal attack based on thinly sourced allegations.”
