Herman Cain Has Some Advice For Occupy Wall Street

Republican Presidential candidate Herman Cain posted a message for Occupy Wall Street on his Twitter account last night. The former Godfather’s Pizza CEO suggested the protesters should be targeting President Obama rather than the financial industry.

“#OWS should be protesting the failed policies of this Administration and not Wall Street!” Mr. Cain wrote.

This isn’t the first time Mr. Cain has criticized Occupy Wall Street. Last Wednesday, he told the Wall Street Journal he believed the demonstrations were a White House P.R. ploy.

“I don’t have the facts to back this up, but I happen to believe that these demonstrations are planned and orchestrated to distract from the failed policies of the Obama Administration,” Mr. Cain said.

In that same interview, Mr. Cain suggested the protesters should be angry at themselves rather than the financial industry.

“Don’t blame Wall Street, don’t blame the big banks, if you don’t have a job and you’re not rich, blame yourself. It is not someone’s fault if they succeeded, it is someone’s fault if they failed,” Mr. Cain said.

In addition to his career in fast food, Mr. Cain worked in the financial industry with stints as deputy chairman, and then chairman, of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in the mid 1990′s.

Clearly this self-styled modern day Moses is the right man to lead Occupy Wall Street to the Promised Land.

Cain’s just talking sense… a rarity these days.    Good for him!
