Country singer Hank Williams Jr. is giving a musical middle finger to the government, ESPN and Fox News' "Fox and Friends" morning show in a new song inspired by the controversy that ensued after he made comments comparing President Obama to Adolph Hitler.

Mr. Williams Jr. moseyed on into hot water last Wednesday when he appeared on "Fox and Friends" to discuss the 2012 elections and called Speaker of the House John Boehner's June golf game with President Obama "one of the biggest political mistakes ever."

"That would be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu," Mr. Williams Jr. said.

After his "Fox and Friends" appearance, ESPN dropped Mr. Williams Jr.'s song "Are You Ready for Some Football?" from its "Monday Night Football" broadcasts. ESPN had used the tune since 1989.

In his new song, "I'll Keep My...," Mr. Williams Jr. suggests America is "going down the drain" and becoming "The United Socialist States of America." He also accuses "Fox and Friends" of misrepresenting his statements.

"So Fox `n Friends wanna put me down/Ask for my opinion/Twist it all around. ... Well two can play that gotcha game you'll see," Mr. Williams Jr. sings.

According to the Associated Press, Mr. Williams Jr. "wrote the topical third verse of 'I'll Keep My ...' when he woke up Friday morning and he and a group of players laid it down in a Nashville studio by Friday afternoon." The song is expected to appear on iTunes by tomorrow.

"I'll Keep My..." isn't Mr. Williams Jr.'s only response to his Hitler brouhaha. The incident also prompted him to begin selling "Hank Jr. for President" t-shirts ("proudly made in the USA") on his web site.

Despite the tough talk in his new track, Mr. Williams Jr. isn't completely finished with the media. Mr. Williams Jr. plans to appear on "Hannity" and "The View" tomorrow to discuss the scandal. On Sunday, he posted a note on his site explaining why he chose "The View:"

"Whoopi and Joy understood what I was saying. After watching the clip of their show, I knew I needed to talk to them first. Who knows Whoopi may run for President and I’ll be her Vice President…now that will really stir it up!”

Unlike fellow country star Kenny Rogers, it seems Mr. Williams Jr. just doesn't "know when to fold 'em."
