Chris Christie Weighs in on the GOP Race

Now that he’s ended his long flirtation with a White House run, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is backing Mitt Romney’s Presidential campaign. Christie’s endorsement may provide the flagging frontrunner with a much needed boost.

Fox News reports Christie will announce his support of Romney this afternoon in Hanover, New Hampshire. The event is timed to precede the Republican debate at nearby Dartmouth College.

Christie is a favorite of many top Conservatives including Nancy Reagan, Fox News head honcho Roger Ailes and Henry Kissinger, who all personally begged him to enter the race. Romney began the race as a frontrunner, but he has struggled against a slew of Republican challengers thanks to dissatisfaction among hardcore conservatives with his liberal views on health care and his Mormon faith.
