Mayor Bloomberg doesn't plan on kicking the Occupy Wall Street out of Zuccotti Park, but he expects winter weather will be the occupation's eventual undoing.

The Mayor commented on Occupy Wall Street while speaking with the Wall Street Journal's Michael Howard Saul prior to the Columbus Day Parade.

"The bottom line is – people want to express themselves. And as long as they obey the laws, we’ll allow them to. ... If they break the laws, then, we’re going to do what we’re supposed to do: enforce the laws,” Mayor Bloomberg said.

The Mayor said he has "no idea" when the occupation will end, but added, “I think part of it has probably to do with the weather.”

Late last month Mayor Bloomberg seemed eager to put an end to the protests when WOR radio host John Gambling asked him how much longer he'd let the demonstrations continue.

"We’ll see ... You are worried about sanitation and there are lots of different laws on the books about what you can do," Mayor Bloomberg said.

Zuccotti Park, which has been dubbed "Liberty Park" by some of the protesters, is owned by Brookfield Office Properties. Last week, Brookfield released a statement accusing the protesters of creating "unsanitary conditions" in the park. Brookfield may want the protesters gone, but the park is classified as "privately owned public space," which makes it difficult for them to oust the occupiers.
