West Side Congressman Jerry Nadler appeared on the inaugural episode of “Up with Chris Hayes” on MSNBC over the weekend, and he was asked what he tells his hedge fund constituents when he wants to close a loophole that permits them to pay a 15 percent income tax.

“It’s unfair!,” Nadler said he tells them. “You can make a lot of money in this system. The system is designed to enable people to make a lot of money, but they have to pay their fair share.”

Nadler also discussed his bill that would abolish the debt ceiling.
