LGBT Councilman, Activist Blast Ed Koch for Turner Endorsement; ‘F@#! Those Guys,’ Mayor Responds

A reader pointed to us a very interesting article in the Gay City News today in which Queens councilman Danny Dromm blasts former mayor Ed Koch for endorsing Bob Turner in the race for Anthony Weiner’s former Congressional seat.

Dromm, who is one of a handful of LGBT members of the City Council, says Koch should be supporting Democrat David Weprin, because Weprin supports same-sex marriage, and Koch, Dromm says, is gay.

“Koch’s whole thing is bizarre,” Dromm said, taking special exception to the former mayor’s support for an opponent of gay marriage since he is “a closet case.”

He is joined in his criticism by fiery LGBT activist Allen Roskoff, who tells the paper, “It’s a disgrace that Ed Koch is supporting someone who would deny his right to marry.”

Koch has a salty response:

“Oh, fuck those two guys.”

Koch has been dogged by gay rumors since he first ran for mayor in 1977. He has never discussed his sexuality, often asking interviewers who ask him about it if they like to perform oral sex.

F@#K those two guys??? I am sure he would love to do that. ed Koch is the epitome of the self loathing queen. Thankfully, people like him are becoming extinct!!!

I was a kid when Ed Koch was mayor and the city was a toilet bowl. He was an awful mayor and a meanspirited guy who ran one of the most corrupt administrations in the city’s history. I simply don’t understand why, today, he is lionized by politicians and the press in this city. He should be a disgraced pariah.

See you can make your point and not “USE” a Vulgarity I am proud of you and keep it up

But you still should have not used it in Koch’s quote
