Mayor Mike Bloomberg remains in full bunker mode this morning, cancelling his weekly radio appearance with John Gambling, and making no public statements about the Stephen Goldsmith saga so that he can have “some time to catch up and work on the other parts of the job,” as a spokesman said yesterday.
But that bunker seems to have a wi-fi connection, as Hizzoner (or one of his aides) has been Tweeting up a storm. Is he putting his mea culpa on Goldsmith in 140-characters? Of course not. Instead, hizzoner is trying to change the subject, talking about his private initiative to shut down coal-fired power plants and a city initiative to get kids to school on time.
