A reader passed along the following video of G.O.P. Congressional candidate Bob Turner meeting with voters in Woodridge, N.Y.
Woodridge is 100 miles north of the 9th Congressional district, where Turner is locked in a tight race with David Weprin, a Democrat. But the trip is worth it for Turner because many of the district’s sizeable religious Jewish population vacations there.
In the video, Turner appears to be endorsed by Chaskel Bennett, a member of the board at the politically powerful not-for-profit Agudath Israel. Bennett makes the case that Ed Koch has made in supporting Turner–that sending a Republican to Congress would make President Obama pay more attention to the concerns of Israel.
