Bloomberg: 'Mexico's Economy is Better than Ours'

Mayor Bloomberg appeared on “Morning Joe” today to talk about the need for America to invest in its infrastructure, and when the talk turned to America losing the economic arms race to China, the mayor pointed out that economic competition could be found a lot closer to home.

“We are falling behind every country,” he said. “The new Lear Jet is being built in Mexico. Border crossing have gone down in one direction, going up in the other.

The mayor then added, “Mexico’s economy is better than ours.”

Bloomberg also said that failure to reform our immigration laws amounted to “national suicide.”
