Here’s NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly and City Council Speaker Christine Quinn — two people mentioned as potential 2013 mayoral candidates — on NY1 last night. Kelly heaped praise on Quinn for their efforts to combat domestic violence and boost safety in the city.
At one point, Kelly said “the Speaker’s program is so important” in terms of publicizing resources for potential victims. Later Kelly said that, “thanks to the Speaker and the Mayor,” the city was able to hire more than 1,600 police officers earlier this month.
A clip worth pulling up if they do cross paths on the campaign trail.
