Kathy Hochul will be in the lineup for tonight’s Congressional softball game, according to a last-minute press release from her office.
We suspect this came at the urging of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who pushed hard for Hochul in last month’s special election and is known to take the softball game particularly seriously.
The Journal reported last year that Gillibrand — or “Keg” as she’s apparently known — was one of the loudest trash-talkers.
Hochul should bring some blue-collar, Buffalo grit to the diamond, though her skill level is unclear.
“This past weekend Congresswoman Hochul attended a Batavia Muckdogs game in an effort to pick up some last minute tips for the big game,” said the press release. The Muckdogs are currently 2-4 and already 3 games back of the Auburn Doubledays.
