Charlie Rangel went on Fox Business News this morning to talk Obama and Israel, and seemed to want to split the difference between those accusing the president of throwing Israel under the bus and those who have been critical of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Every president has said that the United States policy is to have the ‘67 border lines,” he said. “This is not an Obama policy. This is a United States policy.”
But at another point, Rangel warned against negotiating with Hamas and said that Israel is important “as a symbol of democracy throughout the Middle East.”
